A Trading Economics API key — or use guest:guest for limited testing. Get a key here.

Step 1

Step 1 — Open Settings

Go to claude.ai and click Settings in the left sidebar.

In Settings, click Connectors in the left menu.

Step 2

Step 2 — Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector.

Fill in the modal that appears:

Name	`Trading Economics`
Server URL	`https://mcp.tradingeconomics.com`

Then click Add.

Step 3

Step 3 — Connect and authorize

After the connector is created, click Connect.

An authorization modal will appear. Enter your Trading Economics API key and click Authorize.

Step 4

Step 4 — Test the connection

Open a new conversation and try a test prompt:

What is the current inflation rate in the United States?

Compare GDP growth between Brazil, China, and Germany.

What economic events are scheduled for this week?

Connect Claude Desktop to live Trading Economics data — economic indicators, market prices, forecasts, earnings, and more — using the hosted MCP server. No local installation required.

A Trading Economics API key — or use guest:guest for limited testing. Get a key here.

Step 1

Step 1 — Open Settings

Open Claude Desktop and click Settings.

In Settings, click Connectors.

Step 2

Step 2 — Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector.

Fill in the modal that appears:

Then click Add.

Step 3

Step 3 — Connect and authorize

Click Connect.

Enter your Trading Economics API key and click Authorize.

If successful, a Configure icon will appear on the connector card. You can now start a new chat.

Step 4

Step 4 — Test the connection

In a new conversation, click the + button, go to Connectors, and confirm that Trading Economics is active.

Ask a question. When prompted, authorize Claude to use the connector.

Claude will respond with live Trading Economics data.

Once the Trading Economics connector is configured via Claude Web or Claude Desktop, it becomes available automatically in the Claude mobile app when signed in with the same account — no additional setup required.
